The Promised Path - وعد الثنايا 

“The Promised path” is the story of a woman who waits, on hanging paths, for the return of her loved one after a fleeting encounter.

It is a cycle of melodies composed by the Franco-Tunisian pianist Mehdi Trabelsi on originals poems in Tunisian dialect of the author Leila Toubel, and carried by the majestic voice of Abir Derbel singing.

“Le Serment des Chemins” traces a deep and sensitive path at the crossroads of influences, both close to the European continent and its heritage, and imbued with Tunisia, its perfume, and the musicality of its words. It offers an artistic gesture full of emotions which clearly places it in the musical genre of the song cycle.
